The World of Film International Festival Glasgow

From the 3rd to the 6th October, Glasgow is host to The World of Film International Festival.

WoFF: World of Film International Festival is an annual film festival based in Glasgow, and currently in its sixth edition. WoFF brings local and Scottish audiences together with filmmakers, producers, artists and cinema enthusiasts from all around the world, in an attempt to discover new talent, showcase their work and generate ideas for future projects. WoFF is a non-profit organisation bringing audiences a step closer to international independent cinema and giving voice to young artists.

The Festival takes place over a jam-packed weekend with feature movies, short films, animation for all ages and panel discussions. The 3 main topics for the festival this year are; First time filmmakers, Women directors and Balkan Cinema.

The Festival takes place in Glasgow’s south side at Film City Glasgow and all of the showings and events over the weekend are free of charge. The venue is just 15 mins from The Brunswick Hotel and booking directly with us would mean £5 off your stay! If the festival in October isn’t enough, The WoFF are also putting on a Burns’ night event on the 25th January. This will be a “pay what you wish” event where they will be having a screening of the Scottish classic comedy, “Whisky Galore” and again is being hosted at Film City Glasgow.
