Glasgow Cathedral Festival – 26 – 28 September 2019

A fabulous programme of music, dance and history set in Glasgow’s stunningly beautiful medieval cathedral. The cathedral is Glasgow’s oldest building and is steeped in centuries of history within it’s walls as well as being perfect for it’s great acoustics and grand ambience.

This year’s unique festival draws on many conventional genres – including dance, folk music, oratorio – and puts a contemporary twist on them, enabling you to experience them in a totally different way.

Performances include two of the UK’s most inventive musicians, Daniel Pioro (violin) and James McVinnie (organ), who will take you on a musical passage of time through four centuries. Tours include the Stained Glass Tour with around a hundred ornate windows, and the Graveyard Tour where many prominent figures were laid to rest across the centuries.

This year’s exciting festival falls on the September weekend holiday, so with 7 fabulous concerts, interesting tours, dance and music, you will find something to entertain all ages and tastes.
